Kinesiotherapy is the assessment and treatment of individuals with disabilities through progressive resistive exercise, work conditioning and aquatic exercise. As kinesiotherapists our primary objectives are to maximize the strength, flexibility, and endurance of the affected muscle groups, especially in preparation for returning to work and developing self-directed exercise programs after discharge.

Kinesiotherapy Today
Managed care organizations and Medicare have made many recent changes to the delivery of rehabilitation services. As the number of therapy sessions allowed has decreased there has been a corresponding increase in the number of "post- rehab" and conditioning programs. (These programs allow patients to continue to improve overall function and health under the supervision of qualified personnel but often are not covered by the insurance.) In addition to traditional therapy, kinesiotherapists have the ideal education and training to implement and supervise quality post-rehab and conditioning programs at affordable costs.
